In this life we have many question, and also many challenges. Life can be a struggle, and its in those times that we often go deeper in our thoughts and wonder whats it all about, and why are we here?
Fortunately there are answers to these questions in the bible. The bible tells us that were are 'fearfully and wonderfully made', it say that God is familiar with all our ways, and that even the very hairs on our heads are numbered.
In the book of John chapter 16, Jesus says: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
The life of Jesus was not easy, he was persecuted and hated by many wherever he went, so he understand the struggles we go through.
Many people automatically reject faith in Jesus because of stereotypical ideas. They can't see how it relates to them, or they focus on what they see in the news about religion. They sometimes think having faith is brainwashing, and so on. Because of this people do not look further, they don't dig any deeper and they miss the true meaning.
Some people say the bible isn't true, yet since the bible was standardized around 1,500 years ago, it's estimated around 7 Billion copies have been produced!
Bibles are printed at a rate of around 80 million per year. The number is actually rising year on year. Surely that must indicate there is something worth investigating?
I Don't Believe In God
Consider this, since the dawn of time, mankind across the world for thousands of years has search for some kind of higher power, a god or multiple gods. The reason is we were made to seek god, we can't help it. Most people on the planet right now, have some kind of faith. Our free will and independence often tell us to 'go our own way' and reject faith, but the truth is, somewhere deep down inside us, the desire to know the truth is there.
I'm Not Good Enough
None of us are good enough, but that doesn't matter. Jesus said: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth".
My Life Is So Busy, I Don't Have Time
Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest".
I'm Worried About So Many Things
In The Bible (1 Peter 5) it reads: 'Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you'.
There Is Too Much To Learn
The truth is we never stop learning, so all we have to do is make a start. Each time we take a small step, God will encourage us to take another. He delights in seeing us grow in the knowledge of him and how it changes us.
I'm Afraid Of Failing
There are no failures with God. He knows us better than we know ourselves. He already knows our strengths and weaknesses.
